Gently place the tip of the brush onto the powder, picking up a small amount and knocking off any excess (if necessary). Apply powder where desired using short, downward strokes. For the smoothest finish, avoid applying powder in a brisk back-and-forth or up-and-down motion.

great brush
I have owned this brush for over 3 years and it still functions as well today as when I first received it. The bristles are pleasingly firm so it picks up a nice amount of product.
