Directions: Mascara is typically the last step in a makeup application to prevent powder-based products from clinging to wet lashes. If you opt to use an eyelash curler, use it BEFORE applying mascara (or you will absolutely end up with broken, strangely bent lashes). The best lash curlers are the ones with a protective sponge tip section where the eyelashes are squeezed, such as curlers by Shiseido and Shu Uemura (both around $15). Squeeze gently with even pressure, hold for a few seconds and release slowly as you move from the base of the lashes to the tip. Stroke one or two coats of mascara onto each eye's upper and (if desired) lower lashes. Over-applying mascara to the lower lashes can result in a spidery look and will lead to smudging later in the day. Apply only enough to emphasize the lower lashline—it should not "compete" with the upper lashes for attention! For a softer look, wipe down the mascara wand with a clean tissue, gently squeezing the brush to remove the excess. Apply to lashes as usual—and don't worry—there will still be plenty of mascara left on the wand! For the most dramatic lash look, make sure you place the wand as close to the base of the upper lashes as possible. Hold the wand there, and carefully wiggle it back and forth to deposit extra mascara at the base prior to brushing the wand through the lashes. This will nicely define the lashline and produce a thicker appearance. Proceed with at least two full coats for maximum results, and don't let the mascara dry between coats!
I just got both Paula's Epic Lengths and Lush Mascaras today and they are mascara heaven! I have tried just about every mascara out there and these are the winners for no-clump application, no irritation and easy removal.

I LOVE this mascara! It goes on with no clumps or flakes and stays put all day long. I have tried others that you have recommended and always come back to the Lush mascara. I love the fact you can add more than one coat and it is natural looking not stiff. Thank you Paula for making such wonderful products!

Paula's Lush Mascara is just as good as, if not better than, Definicils Mascara by Lancome. Also, I have taken Paula's advice in her books and beauty bulletins and found it to be accurate and helpful, not to mention Paula has saved me a lot of money!

The Lush Mascara is absolutely the best! Goes on beautifully without clumps or flaking. I can wear it for hours and there is no irritation. I am looking forward to receiving Epic Lengths. Keep up the excellent work!
